Sep 9, 2008 · it depends what you mean by "maxing out" the turbo. 20 is the max you can do without losing power (exception with water/meth injection). 27 or so is the max the turbo will push is made to.

Nov 6, 2006 · It's much better to use an MBC to tame it around 20PSI and control the boost for a safer, longer lasting turbo. As an aside, I ran my stock K03s up to 26PSI without a boost controller on the diode mod for 3 months and the result was a spun set of bearings and a heat-cracked down pipe mount.

Nov 19, 2014 · A bov is not an upgrade in any way. Many people consider it a downgrade over the bpv. If you're stock, there is no potential to be utilized. The only reason to get one is if you want the noise.

K03 Upgraded Turbo. Here at Kdm tuners we have been upgrading turbos since 2013 and have come up with a couple upgraded turbo options that seems to be very popular. These turbos increase HP without increase turbo lag in the process, in fact we have seen the lag decrease as we perfect the set up.

Oct 16, 2007 · Tops for the KO3s is around 22/23 psi, however as stated above it cannot sustain this due to the heat build up and poor design of the turbo housing. A good FMIC will go along way in helping you hold the higher boost levels (along with a performance d/p and sports cat!), but the higher you push the boost the more 'spikey' it will be.

Apr 14, 2010 · The servie person I spoke with said that they have had someone who had an aftermarket cold air DV exhaust and tuning that blew up there turbo. Is this possible to have too much boost with the KO3 and have this happen or is this just one time only?
