Nov 23, 2020 · Chiang hated the Five Races Under One Union flag, he believed that putting red (representing Han) on top can be reinterpreted as implying an ethnic hierarchy in the future, such as when Han supremacists dominate politics. Ironically, by the same logic his KMT flag would represent an ideal China with just Han, Mongols and Tibetans.

Sep 29, 2018 · Was watching a PBS' China: A Century of Revolution and saw this in some footage. Appears to be a variant of the KMT Blue Sky with a White Sun Flag. Here's Another still of the flags. I suppose it could have been black instead of blue, though I doubt it since black was considered a color of bad luck. Reposted because I messed up the OP link.

I think instead of changing the flag, Taiwan should urge the KMT to change their iconography so that the flag is no longer a partisan issue. Nov 14, 2021 · RoC flag for democracy LOL RoC spent decades suppressing democracy in Taiwan. The DPP flag would better represent democracy. The ROC flag, or better yet a KMT flag, can represent fascism or absolute monarchy. What’s the difference between the “Old Japanese Flag” and the modern Japanese flag? Was Japan in fact a constitutional monarchy when it governed Taiwan, or was it only that in name?
