Mar 19, 2025 · GP38-2's #s 2020, 2022, 2036 and 2040 are the ones to believed getting worked on so far. 2040 is now out of the shop and paint shop and is first to become the belled GP38-2 in a new body and full belle paint.

Delivered to Boston & Maine as GP38-2 209 in December 1973 now employed by KCS. Someone should put a fresh American flag on that diesel. KCS 2016 Roster shot. Yard power sitting at the Ex Gwwr yard. After waiting for the previous grain train to pass, a northbound mixer leaves the siding at Blue Mountain at 1634. Built December 1973 as B&M 209.

I caught this eastbound mixed freight coming into Gibsland, LA with a pair of "Southern Bells" in fresh paint. KCS 2000 is ex-GWRR 2029, exx-CMNW 2029, exxx-CR 7777, nee PC 7777.

KCS GP38-2 4008, F7A slug 4060 and an unidentified GP40-2 bring a northbound train along U.S. Highway 61. This track was abandoned a year later, when the KCS began using the nearby ICG between Shrewsbury and Frellsen. (date approximate)

KCS GP38-2's 4009 and 4001 power southbound train across the Red River Bridge into Alexandria. The train had 43 cars and no caboose. The bridge, which included a swing span, was built by the American Bridge Co. in 1901 for the Louisiana Railway & Navigation Co.
