Jun 20, 2017 · For instance, the sear springs are now coil, the ejectors don't have screws through them and the top lever guide rod has been changed two different times. Nov 18, 2024 · I think this sometimes causes the selector pear to either get hung up between the sears, or not slide over to the right sear (bottom barrel). Additionally, the left sear seems to have too much lateral movement, which also lets the selector pear get hung up between the sears.

Jan 5, 2018 · Over 8500 K80's came new with "old style ejectors". Many were combos, Many were 4 bbl sets so there are lots of K80 OSE barrels out there. Yes late model 32 barrels were very similar/same as early k80 barrels but most below the 11700 sn range. Updated sears and springs happened in approx. 1990.

Apr 15, 2018 · The release hooks I have seen on most K 80's are outside of plates that carry the sears on a K80 or K32. Remove the wire keeper from the pin lift the hook off, a spacer to keep the other end of the pin from sliding up to the stock on the other side re pin it and back to pull.

Sears and hammers are both made from a tempered steel that requires a diamond file to cut it. The component parts are then polished to a glass-like finish with a ceramic stone. The secret of a good trigger mechanism is in the geometry of the sear hammer engagement. In the case of the K80 the sears sit on a step instead of in a notch.
