The Paps of Jura (Scottish Gaelic: Sgurr na Cìche) are three mountains on the western side of the island of Jura, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Their highest point is 2,575 feet (785 m). They are steep-sided quartzite hills with distinctive conical shapes resembling breasts.

Named after the famous hills on the Isle of Jura, so called because they resemble breasts. This whisky is initially matured in former Bourbon American oak casks before a finishing period in Pedro Ximénex casks (which held the sherry for 40 years!), the whisky has been aged for 19 years, an excellent age for a malt whisky.

The round of the Paps of Jura is a bona fide Scottish classic hillwalk. These three great cones of rock and scree give a challenging walk with views that are - on a clear day - unforgettable.

Available beginning April 2018, this is one of four single malt bottlings being released in The Jura Travellers Collection (fka Sherry Cask Collection). This whisky aged for 19 years in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels.

Dominating the view of Jura from almost any direction are the three, distinctive and easily recognised, Paps of Jura found in the southern half of the island.
