Jubaland has had a wide array of flags in its modern history, ranging from that during its British East Africa Province of Jubaland era, during the transitionary Trans-Juba period of Jubaland, as well as the current Jubaland's federal state flag.

Jubaland (Somali: Jubbaland; Arabic: جوبالاند; Italian: Oltregiuba), or the Juba Valley (Somali: Dooxada Jubba), is a Federal Member State in southern Somalia. Jubba River, stretching from Dolow to the Indian Ocean, while its western side flanks the North Eastern Province in Kenya, which was carved out of Jubaland during the colonial period. [5]

Article 7 Flag and Symbols The flag of Jubaland shall be as described in schedule two. The emblem of Jubaland shall be as described in schedule three. The official seal of Jubaland shall be as described in schedule four.

The flag of the Jubaland republic was two vertical stripes of red and green with a white five pointed star in the centre. The Juba Valley Alliance flew the Somali national flag. The proposed flag (green, red and green vertical stripes) was not adopted. In 2006, several other proposals were put forward (see below).
