Jonathan Taylor (born 12 October 1943 in London) is a British former alpine skier who competed in the 1964 Winter Olympics. [1]

The Men's slalom competition of the Innsbruck 1964 Olympics was held on 8 February at Axamer Lizum. [1][2][3] The defending world champion was Charles Bozon of France. [4] Source:[1] The top 25 finishers advanced directly to the final, the others went to round two. [1]

For the first time at the Olympics, the slalom was started with a qualifying round of two runs. The top 25 finishers in each run were advanced to the final round. When the slalom started, Austria’s Pepi Stiegler had already won an Olympic silver medal (1960 giant slalom) and bronze medal (1964 giant slalom).

Some racers had huge sighs of relief, others grumbling that they are slalom specialists and would like 7 slalom races next year.
