Byrne Robotics: FAQ
John Byrne has worked continuously in comics since 1975, following his first professional sale in late summer of 1974. Beginning humbly enough, with the likes of WHEELIE AND THE CHOPPER BUNCH and DOOMSDAY + 1 (for Charlton Comics), and IRON FIST and THE CHAMPIONS for Marvel, he eventually moved on to Marvel's number one cult book, X-MEN (not ...
Topic: Worst comparison ever? - Byrne Robotics
4 days ago · Sitting in the witness box, under oath, Wolfman was asked if there were people who worked in comics who DIDN'T create characters, and he answered "John Byrne". As I have mentioned before, when I look at the various statues of Marvel characters that decorate my Studio, I am AMAZED at how many are characters I created, co-created, or had a strong ...
Byrne Robotics: "The Hulk That Might Have Been"
6 days ago · The run was released over 3 issues here in Norway, in 1988. Which means they were released simultaneously with JB's Superman, that was still running here. So I had the two characters that actually brought me into comics done by John Byrne at the same time. The first of these Hulk issues had "WRITTEN AND DRAWN BY JOHN BYRNE!!"
Byrne Robotics: When did they go wrong with Superman?
Oct 22, 2021 · Even John started reading Superman while living outside the USA. About the costume, I think the original one (and also the logo) were incredible for the time. Today, I would personally remove both the red trunks and the cloak (too "medieval" for me).

Join these 2 styles and you have some of the best artworks ever on AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. I appreciated other works by Kane in the following years: GREEN LANTERN, ACTION COMICS in the early '80s...
Byrne Robotics: Manga Popularity
May 1, 2004 · Comics will find a way. As some have said, to a certain degree the American publishers blew it, and a void was created. Now young people of both sexes are hungrily grabbing all the manga they can. Also, it's their comics: not their fathers or grandfathers. Byrne Robotics: My “Audacious” Superman
May 11, 2005 · I've never been able to read Superman comics for an extended period of time. I did recently read (some of which I had never read) the Byrne reboot run including the non-Byrne companion comics. From reading commentary about the reboot and your comments on various threads here I think the linked article above puts too much credit and blame on Byrne.
Byrne Robotics: Hands and Feet
Jun 26, 2012 · I'm torn between finding it admirable that you concern yourself with online opinions of your art and frustrating that you don't really seem to get it that you are JOHN BYRNE. The history of comics will always list your name beside Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, et al.
