Joan Sia, born and raised in the Philippines, discovered her love for ballet in her hometown – Cagayan De Oro City. With her teacher Ms Daque’s encouragement, she attended summer intensives with The Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School, Radaic School of Classical Ballet, and Ballet Manila.
