With a program between you and the mount, the requirement is gone and it is better to align with J2000 positions given in maps, databases and literature. The problem of Jnow is that the next day the position is different since the earth axis is moving.

JNOW is the coordinates of the same point, referenced to the pole at today's date and time. ASIAIR uses JNOW, so you will need to use the current date for Stellarium's coordinates. Chen
