South Korean artist Lee Jinju utilises the traditional method of Korean painting to create isolated scenes that combine seemingly disparate images, many of them recurring throughout her various works.

A new series «Tilted» by South Korean artist Lee Jinju was created specifically for her exhibition in Moscow. Lee Jinju is known for her subjective realism works or psycholandscapes that erase tenses and cease to divide the category of time into past, present, and future.

Lee Jin Ju’s works like 'Island of Boundaries', 'Tears', 'Paths of Tears' and 'A Bare Field' are the paintings that stimulate one to do such things as observers.

Lee employs the techniques of Eastern painting that are used to depict details to create scenes that feel intensely foreign but are actually grounded in the real world. Lee’s early works explored the traumas that we experience repeatedly throughout our lives.

Lee Jinju typically uses the materials and techniques of traditional Korean chromatic painting (chaesaekhwa) to produce her artwork. Powdered pigment is mixed with the adhesive known as ejiao (animal skin glue) to create paints that are blended with water and applied.
