Jimbei (ジンベエ, Jinbē, spelled as "Jinbe" in some English adaptations, including his bounty poster in the original series), also known as " First Son of the Sea " Jimbei ((海侠のジンベエ, Kaikyō no Jinbē), is a fictional whale shark Fish-Man in the anime and manga series One Piece, created and written by artist Eiichiro Oda.

Known as the 'Knight of the Sea', Jinbe serves as the helmsman and a Senior Officer of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He joined as the ninth member during the Wano Country Arc. A whale shark fish-man and master of Fish-Man Karate, Jinbe also plays a crucial advisory role to Captain Luffy.

Jinbe was born 46 years ago in the Ryugu Kingdom [10] and grew up in the orphanage that eventually became the Fish-Man District, alongside Arlong, Macro, and Fisher Tiger.
