Jigoro Kuwajima (桑 くわ 島 じま 慈 じ 悟 ご 郎 ろう Kuwajima Jigorō?) is the man who trained Zenitsu Agatsuma and Kaigaku. He was formerly the Thunder Hashira (鳴 なり 柱 ばしら Nari Bashira?)[1] in the Demon Slayer Corps. [2]

In life, Jigoro was a legendary and stubborn swordsman who killed seven thousand pirates in order to protect his family. He died at the age of 59. [1] After Roronoa Zoro was captured by the Spider Mice, [14] his shadow was used to animate Jigoro's stolen corpse.
