As the first single from his classic The Blueprint album, “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” was Hov’s very first top-10 showing on the Billboard “Hot 100” chart.

In an interview with MTV from the early 2000s, he said that he could write full songs in five to seven minutes. Other people started to recognize this talent in him and called it a "gift."
