A black lace dress is very easy to come by, especially if you’re looking for a cocktail version of the dress. Jals version of the dress has a nude underlining and is also a spagetti strap which is slightly more specific. You could look around H&M’s and Forever 21′s or just stores that are typically known for having a large variety of items.

Jal obviously (as we’ve seen in some storylines) doesn’t care much about fashion, but wants to look put-together and clean so wears nice, more generic clothes that don’t make much of a statement.

To me it seemed like the joke was Jal thought it was green (a usually acceptable enough “nice” dress colour) when it was so obviously brown (a usually “dowdy/unexciting” colour). Everyone else perceived it as brown, showing Jal’s lack of fashion …
