These ECOs are described in a post on the S100Computers Google Group - I am pleased to say there are 2 new fixes for the JAIR 8080. Fix #1. Some 16550 chips and some 8250A chips were reported to be not working. Even the UARTS that did work, would occasionally do something weird or not initialize correctly.

Apr 2, 2015 · Well I completed my S100 mini IMSAI computer, based on Josh Bensadon's JAIR8080 Board (Josh's Altair/IMSAI Replacement 8080 Board) and Don Caprio's Mini IMSAI front Panel board. These two boards make a great team.

Nov 11, 2020 · Note the butterscotch brown chip to the left of the 8080. Its a Bulgarian 8224 clone. I could not find a reasonable source for a genuine Intel chip, so took my chances on this item and got a couple of them for $1.69 apiece.

Since this board is intended to operate with the front panels of the ALTAIR 8800 and the IMSAI 8080, the original CPU of these computers was chosen. This CPU is still widely available on Ebay and other sources. Historically, the 8080 processor was a significant milestone for INTEL©.

The JAIR board can be used in either ALTAIR or IMSAI computers. The Mini Front Panel is from Don Caprio, another S100computer group legend. It fully operates as the IMSAI front panel, providing Examine, Deposit, Run and single step operations.
