Jun 1, 2013 · Picked up this vintage 1979 JVC R-S7 receiver last week for free on craigslist. The guy said it had some intermittent sound issues. I got some MG Chemicals electrosolve contact cleaner and cleaned all the pots on it. Now it works awesome ! Made in Japan goodness ! The amplifier is rated at 55w per channel. Has a heavy but warm sound to it.

Sep 30, 2022 · Any thoughts on the JVC R-S7 receiver? Saw one for sale nearby and wonder if anyone here has one and/or a opinion about them. Thankful for any info. I don't have any experience with that model, but I have owned a couple vintage JVC receivers. I think they offer some of the best bang for the buck.
