Feb 2, 2009 · i've got a pair of jbl m5's i picked up to use as test speakers. the cabs and grills are in decent shape, but i discovered the woofers need to be refoamed. since i've never heard them in good condition, i'm wondering if it is worth the effort. a google search of AK brought up another thread, but little in the way of opinions.

Mar 28, 2010 · When I was driving the power amp externally, the noises may have been coming from both sides but I don't remember exactly. I was more concerned at the time about shutting it down to stop from blowing up my a/d/s/ SAT600s. Initial testing was with a pair of junk JBL M5 minis which couldn't take any power, hence the switch to the a/d/s/.
