JBL 2380+2445 and JBL 4507+2226 Plan I am looking to build a two-way system using JBL horns and woofers for home use. For the high frequency, I am looking to use JBL 2380 horns with JBL 2445 drivers. 2445 could be replaced by 2446. For the low frequency, I am looking to use JBL 4507 boxes (built by third party) with 2226 woofers.

I have used 4507 with 2235H and 2225H and found it to be a great unit with either driver. For home purposes, the 2235H is a stupendous driver with lots of great bass. You will have to plug one or two holes with it.

I have JBL 2226H 15" woofers in 4507 style enclosures. I believe these are tuned to 38-40hz. I'm looking for suggestions on new or used tweeters/horns to match up with them. I've got a budget of $200-$250 for the tweeters & crossover. I don't know how to design a crossover though, so I'm looking for proven designs.

Someone has plans for subwoofer JBL MODEL 4507, I can send the mail to make my diy subwoofer. Thank you. At the time I have the external dimensions of the box, but I do lack the size and position of the hole on the woofer and vents. I thank you if I can collaborate with these measures. See the picture. Jul 16, 2012 · The E145 do not go as low as the 2235 will in the 4507, but they go low enough, . But the sound difference to me lies in the speed of the E145 drivers. It has more "snap". Although I am only using them until about 175Hz. My "wife" worry is having to use two 4507's per side. One with the 2235 tuned as a B380, the other with the E145 from 40Hz up...

I posed this question at the end of a thread in the DIY section but as time is a factor, I thought I would post it here for more attention.:o:

Moreover i didn't have to model the ports dimensions since i already know, from JBL documents, the port data for the 4507: 2 X 3" with 6" long each. The 98 db sensitivity at the bottom left on my graphs represents a small adjustment i made since the Altec sensitivity is 97db at 4 feet distance instead of one meter.
