Why do all the "pros" carry J-frames? - Glock Talk
Jan 6, 2012 · Personally, if the 2 inch J Frame would fit my pockets I'd carry it most of the time instead of the small .380 pistols I normally pocket carry. The only problem I have with the J Frame is the 5 round capacity. So if I thought my defense situation might involve more than two BG's I wouldn't want to carry the 5 shot gun, or the 7 shot .380 either.
J-frame VS M&P shield for deep concealment | Glock Talk
Jun 16, 2012 · I like the idea of a J-frame, and I'm comfortable with 5 shots, although I'm wondering if it will be uncomfortable for IWB due to cylinder width. I know my G26 is very uncomfortable IWB after any given amount of time, strictly due to the 1.2" width of the pistol. A cylinder on a j-frame is usually 1.3" wide, a tenth of an inch wider.
SP-101 vs. J-Frame? | Glock Talk
Sep 20, 2010 · A steel J frame snubby runs about 22oz A 2" sp101 runs about 25oz The Ruger is slightly larger, but not so much so that it won't fit a well worn leather holster for a J frame. All cast vs forged BS aside, the Ruger IS a stronger weapon, it has a stronger frame, stronger lockwork and stronger cylinder lockup.
Glock 42 or J-Frame for pocket carry? - Glock Talk
Jun 27, 2022 · I have pocket carried a J frame, 42 and LCP II mosr recently, with a host of others over the decades ( back before guns of 32 caliber or larger stated to hit the market, I carried a beretta 21 or walther tph) for me I actually preferred the ruger.
Glock 42 or S&W J frame | Glock Talk
Jan 18, 2024 · If the only choices were Glock 42 and S&W J frame .38, I'd pick the Glock because it's flatter and easier to conceal, holds more rounds and reloads faster. If the J frame was a .357, then I'd take the J frame.
The snubbie saga: J-Frame vs. K-Frame vs. SP101 - Glock Talk
Feb 27, 2013 · I have an Sp101, 2" K frame (mod 10 RB) and a few J frames. The Sp101 is a little slimmer and a few Oz lighter than the K frame....but it's still a belt gun, really. IMO, the SP's role is a shootable .357mag in a small frame revolver. Good for hiking, hunting or belt carry CCW with maximum size/power.
My thoughts J frame vs LCR | Glock Talk
Aug 20, 2023 · The ruger had a significantly better factory trigger. I prefer the J frame with apex kit, mostly due to the strong reset. The ruger has a weird kind of false reset and early on I short stroked a few times. It's easily overcome with some experience but a bit annoying. Ergos: lcr has better factory grip. The tamer grips work.
Best J-frame speed loaders? | Glock Talk
Dec 8, 2021 · There is NOTHING on this planet this side of a second one that comes out of pocket faster than a Centinial shrouded hammer J-frame. NOTHING to snag on, shape lends it self to being pulled from a pocket, perfect design for this type of carry / draw - draws like lightining from a pocket. 😁 Not to mention they are idiot proof and go bang 99.9% ...
J frame | Glock Talk
Jun 12, 2020 · Does anybody still carry a j frame? My first concealed handgun was a smith and Wesson 637. Then I tried a bodyguard 380 for a little while and hated it. Then bought a g42 recently, and I love it. It shoots great and carries great, but I still find myself wanting to carry my j frame more than...
J Frame Trigger Job - Glock Talk
Feb 17, 2018 · J frame Smith will not be able to compete with the K frame for double action trigger. Notice when Smith designed new frame sizes L and X they kept the same trigger of the K frame. If you want to shoot as fast as Jerry Miculek you need an extra power return spring. He is …
