In total nine J Class yachts are currently active, including three original surviving Js - Velsheda, Shamrock and Endeavour - and six replicas that have been built since 2003; Ranger, Rainbow, Hanuman, Lionheart, Topaz and Svea.

The J Class. J Class yachts were originally built to the specifications of the Universal Rule. The J Class really represents the golden age of racing for the America’s Cup in the 1930s when this Universal Rule was used as the determining measurement system.

Work is well underway, with a planned relaunch early in 2024, Shamrock plans to return to the Mediterranean to take part in the J Class World Championship during the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona. Shamrock is the only original J-class never to have fallen into dereliction.
