Jan 6, 2014 · All of this is intended design, as part of the challenging nature of DayZ. Getting a map doesn't have to be the hardest thing in the game for it to be kind of cheap to use an out-of-game one. Even if you're ignoring all those factors, the in-game map doesn't have loot points labelled all over like iZurvive.
