Kota Izumi (出 (いず) 水 (み) 洸 (こう) 汰 (た) , Izumi Kōta? ) is Shino Sosaki 's nephew and the son of the now-deceased Hero team, Water Hose . Eight years after the Final War , Kota is now a first year attending U.A. High School 's Hero course.

Two years prior to the current story, Kota Izumi's parents, the Pro Hero duo Water Hose sacrificed themselves to save civilians from the villain Muscular. Believing they died a truly heroic death, many supporters praised Water Hose. Kota, however, was devastated by their deaths.

Because of his contempt for heroes, Kota despised Izuku at first, he even went as far as hitting Izuku in the groin for trying to be friendly towards him.

Kota Izumi is a minor character in the 2014 Japanese superhero manga series My Hero Academia and its 2016 anime television series adaptation of the same name. Kota was the only son of a pair of professional heroes that were collectively known as Water Hose.
