Nov 18, 2023 · My LCF 4500 has a Wil-Ro body and I really love it. I don't know where you're located but Reeder Chevy in Knoxville, TN has about the best buys on new LCFs. I'm a Chevy guy too but just remember it's Chevy in decals only, you open the drivers door and the first thing you see is an ISUZU sticker! Which the partnership goes back a long time now.

Oct 31, 2010 · GMC/Isuzu is a far more proven truck they have been on the market for a lot longer than any other brand besides Hino. If Hino still made cab overs for the North American market it would be my first choice. The easiest option is GMC Isuzu the next would be a Mitsu other than that I would stay away from International LCF.

Dec 1, 2024 · Are you looking new or used? Any NPR-HD/Chevy LCF in the past few years will have the 6.6 gas vs the 6.0. There is a BIG difference between the two. We run a LCF 4500 (NPR-HD) w/6.0. It has a fixed dovetail so can't tow with it. I can't speak specifically about towing but we are maxed out at 14,500 on the gvwr almost daily.

Nov 30, 2009 · Where the LCF Ford shines is it runs 19.5 tires it has the same rear axle used in the F-450/550 trucks the Dana S110 is a good axle. It has 4 wheel disk brakes the others use drum brakes. Theres no business like the Excavation business playing in the dirt with big toys.

Nov 4, 2004 · The only problem with a conventional rail system on a truck like the LCF is you either need a dead lift system like the Switch and Go or extendable/retractable rail tails or rail tails that have a bend to allow you to get enough dump angle. The only thing I don't like about the switch and go is the way the box has to be designed for that system.

Feb 18, 2009 · The only benefit of the LCF is it uses standard parts that are used on the F-450 and F-550 like the wheels, rear axle and some other assorted parts. The LCF also uses 4 wheel disk brakes not sure about the Isuzus also the 19.5 wheels are better than the 16 and 17.5 wheels Isuzu uses. Now for the LCF itself I hear good and bad things about them.
