Aug 14, 2023 · Air China flights are currently around £1,500 cheaper than other airlines, but the reviews are terrible. Has anyone ever flown Air China and can tell me a bit about their experience? They're the flag carrier for China, how bad can it really be?

I would love to go to Asia and I'm seeing really good prices from JFK - Japan (around $500 round trip with a layover in Beijing). However, the airline that is giving these low prices is Air China - and after looking at reviews online, I'm not sure if it's an airline worth taking.

Air China (CA) is one of the largest airlines in the People's Republic of China as well as the country's flag carrier. The airline's primary hub is at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), with secondary hubs at eight airports elsewhere in China, including Tibet.

I have always found Air China to be perfectly fine for the price, which is usually very competitive. I haven't used China Eastern but have heard quite a lot of negative things. China Southern are usually the best in terms of food and seat comfort.
