Bore and ID (Internal Diameter) clamps are specialized clamping devices that securely hold a workpiece from the inside, providing a unique solution for machining operations. These clamps expand within the workpiece’s internal diameter, creating a firm grip without obstructing the external surface.

Secure a workpiece from the inside diameter, leaving the outside clear for machining. Machine these clamps to match the precise size and contours of your workpiece ID. Mount the clamp to your fixture with the included screws and place your workpiece over it. Turn the socket head cap screw to expand the clamp.

ID clamps are available in seven sizes to hold any inside diameter from .26" to 2.06". Carr Lane ID expansion clamps are proudly made in USA. Each of these six workpieces is clamped by two ID Clamps – a large clamp in the large bore and a small clamp in the slot. The large clamp is also the primary locator, so would be tightened first.
