Inman William " Big Jack " Jackson (March 7, 1907 – April 6, 1973) was an American professional basketball player. He was a long-time member of the Harlem Globetrotters and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.

Jackson was the creative genius that transformed the Trotters from one of the dozens of traveling basketball teams that dotted the Depressiom-era America into a team that became the most recognizable in the history of professional basketball.

Inman “Big Jack” Jackson entertained legions of basketball fans for nearly two decades playing first for the Savoy Big Five and later for the famed Harlem Globetrotters.

Jackson was the first “clown prince” when the Trotters began to experiment with adding humor. Inman played for the Trotters for fifteen years, from 1929-1943, and often filled the role of team captain while also serving as one of the coaches on the team.

Biography: Inman Jackson was a star player for (Chicago) Wendell Phillips High School. After high school he played independent league basketball for a few years before joining the globetrotters. He was the team captain and one of the coaches of the Harlem Globetrotters for many years, 1929-1943.
