The Gurkhas or Gorkhas (/ ˈɡɜːrkə, ˈɡʊər -/), with the endonym Gorkhali (Nepali: गोर्खाली [ɡoɾkʰaːliː]), are soldiers native to the Indian subcontinent, chiefly residing within Nepal and some parts of North India.
