Sep 26, 2000 · 1) A gear logo on the upper reciever indicates that the rifle was NOT assembled by CAI, and; 2) That if the rifle was assembled by CAI the Imbel upper reciever will not only not have the gear logo, but also will have CAI stamped on the upper.

May 13, 2009 · I'd like to make the markings look like those that would have appeared on an IMBEL military rifle for foreign sales during the 1970s. Would they have used the gear logo back then? I'm also curious in general about how IMBEL marked its various parts or any traits unique to IMBEL, making the parts readily identifiable even without markings.

Sep 19, 2002 · The Imbel *Gear* logo marked receivers are a nice touch if you're building up a rifle in the Brazilian military configuration, or a variant from a Brazilian Imbel parts set.

Dec 22, 2015 · Looking at a local Century built FAL. I've heard that some of these were built on Imbel receivers that weren't marked with the Imbel logo. Does anyone know how to ID this specific receivers?? I've done some searching online (FALfiles mostly) and haven't seen a specific "this is, this isn't". thanks!
