Ilie Boca is a Romanian postwar & contemporary artist who has been awarded numerous Romanian and foreign prizes. He was granted the Grand Prix by the Romanian Artist's Union in 2002. In the year 2000, he was awarded the title of "honorary citizen of Bacau" and the "Star of Romania" medal.
