The Infanterikanonvagn 72 (Ikv 72) is a light assault gun vehicle developed by Swedish firm AB Landsverk in the early 1950s.

May 20, 2024 · A prototype assault gun that came out during development of the Ikv 72. It was designed to support anti-infantry by firing grenades from a 120 mm gun. Inside the fighting compartment, it was possible to load bullets in the form of a revolver, so that six rounds could be fired immediately.

The Ikv 72 infantry artillery vehicle was created by Landsverk to meet this need. A total of 36 vehicles entered service before 1954. From 1956 to 1958, the vehicles were re-equipped with a more powerful 105 mm gun and remained in service until the mid-70s, designated Ikv 102.
