Ikkaku Madarame (斑目 一角, Madarame Ikkaku) is the lieutenant and former 3rd Seat officer in the 11th Division of the Gotei 13, under Captain Kenpachi Zaraki. Ikkaku is a tall, lean-built man.

The thing with Ikkaku's bankai was that he showed it to us after the events of SS arc, which means there was 3 captain's seats left open, Ikkaku was already known for his strength, and with a bankai and a shortage of captain he would sure be a perfect candidate.
