Paul started playing drums at age 16 in various Sydney cover bands. At age 19, he was discovered by Iva Davies and asked to join the band, Icehouse. This began his professional career and an association with Icehouse spanning two decades and which still continues today.

This line of merchandise features the original artwork created by Flowers drummer, John Lloyd, and was curated by Iva Davies. Reprints of posters from the Flowers era will also be part of the merchandise presented. These will be in limited quantity.

Paul Wheeler was only twelve years old when John Lloyd came from Melbourne as drummer for the up and coming Flowers. He was still just a fresh faced nineteen when he became John's successor at the beginning of the Measure for Measure Tour in March 1986.

Australian new wave band Icehouse was formed in 1977, initially called 'Flowers', by Iva Davies (born Ivor Arthur Davies, on 22 May 1955, in Wauchope, New South Wales, Australia). Inspired by art rock and avant-garde pop, Davies was the main creative force behind the band, being a classically trained musician.
