Mar 30, 2005 · IPSC sure has changed it revolver formats over the years. We used to be able to shoot whatever we brought, scope, bull barrells, comps, but at least they were all 6 shooters. Today there are a lot of people shooting 8 shot guns and they are more than welcome to use them in IPSC providing they reload after 6 rounds.

May 5, 2015 · The RO in this case is misinterpreting the rules cited here to attempt to explain the behavior. Because you're under the direct supervision and control of an RO, you're allowed to have a handgun that does not meet the full "unloaded" criteria (hammer down, chamber empty, magazine well empty), because you're "handling" the gun.

Dec 28, 2005 · Back in the old days, when IPSC started having Divisions, there was Open and Stock. (Standard, Limited, whatever you want to call it.) The idea of Modified was to give gunsmiths an avenue of creativity: an Open gun that fit the Standard box. A Carry-Comp. Unfortunately, things didn't work out that way here in the US. Open shooters wanted Open guns.

Nov 9, 2005 · 25 yards x 50 yards deep makes a nice big IPSC pistol bay. But, you need high berms in order to shoot close targets from down low-- maybe put in a few small bays for classifiers and that sort of thing. 15x25 yards is a good size for 'medium' bays, and 10x15 works for small ones. I think irregular bays using the natural hills would be cool too.
