Sempre vejo o pessoal comparando uns painéis VA "baratos" e nesse caso, a diferença vai ser muito notável mesmo. Mas um bom painel de VA vai brigar facilmente com outros IPS (nas condições de luzes ideais).

If you watch IPS vs VA impressions on YouTube, you will commonly hear VA has better contrast while IPS has better colours...this is false and actually makes zero sense to those who actually understand panels but this kinder thing sticks to gamers then they will pass it on.

Oct 27, 2023 · Most monitors geared toward photography/graphic design are ips and not va for a reason. As far as newer features, ips is improving contrast with newer tech as well. Ips black panels, I think dell ultrasharps are the only ones with it so far and locked to 4k/60hz panels. But it gives a 2000:1 vs typical 1000:1 contrast on ips.

IPS basically beats VA everywhere else; pixel response times, colours and brightness are all generally superior. Of course there are terrible IPS panels and decent VA ones, but for most people, IPS is the best compromise for the money. I believe higher end Sony Odyssee VA monitors are a different breed, but never experienced that myself.

Dec 29, 2020 · All ultrawides are either IPS or VA. No TN ultrawide panels exist. If you want a flat screen, your choice is limited to IPS, and very few choices remain, I think a lot of monitors were discontinued and only one remains, MSI Prestige PS341WU, but it's 5Kx2K, so it's a very high resolution monitor, you'd have to make sure you graphics card will support the resolution.

Yeah it depends, a shitty VA panel is worse than a good IPS panel but a shitty IPS panel is worse than a good VA panel. I ascended to a g9 from an older but pretty good LG VA panel. The G9 VA beats the older IPS in every detail except the viewing angle.

Sep 12, 2021 · VA vs IPS has very little to do with FPS vs color accuracy, since you can get cheap IPS panels with high refresh rates. The debate is contrast ratio vs color accuracy. VA panels have much higher contrast rates that IPS panels simply cannot match without spending much much much more money on FALD backlighting.
