Dec 10, 2021 · Years ago, I purchased some of the IPMS Austria kits. Of interest were the early SAAB fighters that they have modeled. Of interest to me was the Tunnan ( or Tonne , flying barrel ) because of its resemblance and roots in the German WW2 Focke Wulf TA183 Huckbein as well as the Messerschmitt P.1101 both of which I have built models of.

Aug 22, 2019 · My local chapter of IPMS is hosting their 20th annual model contest September 7th. It hosts over 45 categories of plastic models as well as 5 paper model categories. Free admission. Contest is held on the same weekend as the Balloon Races and is held a block away from the National Championship Air Races.

Sep 30, 2023 · Euro Scale Modelling 2024 by IPMS Nederland This year, on Saturday, November 23, IPMS Nederland organises for the 36th time: Euro Scale Modelling. Although mostly plastic modelling we also have quiet a bit of cardboard modelling on the show. All Dutch editors plus the Dutch interst group in cardmodelling are present.

Oct 30, 2024 · I'm happy that IPMS is increasingly opening up space for other modeling media, at a time when plastic modeling is experiencing a decline in new fans, whether due to the lack of interest among young people or the high cost of kits and supplies, paper models can be an entry for them. Here in Brazil the mentality is changing more slowly.

Apr 2, 2022 · IPMS Austria also has the J32 Lansen as well as the J35 Drakken in Austrian colors. The kit was purchased years ago and comes in the usual large printed format of A3 paper. Of interest is that the Lansen still had it's roots in mostly German WW2 jet aircraft concepts.

Oct 21, 2023 · Models for IPMS NATS, July 2024 I will be helping to set up the Fine Scale Paper Models SIG (Special Interest Group) display at the IPMS national convention in Madison, WI next July. We have a whole 8-foot table for the display, and I want to include as wide a range of subjects as possible.
