The City of Isle of Palms has been a destination for beach goers for generations. The City's Front Beach commercial district is located on Ocean Boulevard from 10th Avenue to 14th Avenue. This area offers public restrooms, plenty of public parking, and great restaurants and shops.

The Beach Reach Shuttle will return on Memorial Day weekend 2025. Beachgoers can #RideCARTA to the Isle of Palms! Hop on the Beach Reach Shuttle at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and park for free -- then you'll be dropped off steps away from the sand!

The City of Isle of Palms boasts 7 miles of pristine beach accessible via 57 public beach access paths. The following regulations are in place to protect the beach's natural beauty for all to enjoy! Ordinances are enforced by the Isle of Palms Police Department.

Picnic and changing areas are available at Isle of Palms County Park. Beachcombing is always a popular activity. A large variety of seashells collect on our beaches from sand dollars to whelks, to olives, to angel wings.

Visitors who come to the Isle of Palms have many options for beach access and parking. The City offers more than 50 beach access paths. Driving on the beach or on beach access paths is strictly prohibited.

6 days ago · Crews began work on Monday, April 7 at 10th Avenue and are progressing southward along the beach. They are expected to place sand at a rate of approximately two blocks per week. Work at 7th and 6th Avenues is anticipated to begin the week of April 14.
