Sep 8, 2010 · The NTSC MPEG IMX 50 Widescreen setting in Vegas follows the NTSC 525 Standard of 525 scan lines of which 486 are visible. You’ll note that this preset is, in fact, 720×486 which means their requirement for 720×512 contradicts their requirement for NTSC 525.

Mar 12, 2013 · Basicly the broadcaster needs an .mxf file at 50mbps so from AdobePremierePro I’ve export my sequence 720×576 DV PAL with the IMX 50 PAL preset. The video file result seems match the requirments but a black line has added on top.

Some footage is ex digi beta and some files have come from an OB truck, Using EVS software which out puts to external hard drives in avid MXF and I believe Imx 50 also. The Avid I am running is on a Mac and is 3.5.4 software.
