Jan 26, 2021 · First, where the short vertical partition meets the base in the centre, I had to shorten the dowels by millimetres in order for the short partition to sit flush with the base. Secondly, the dowels stuck up from the shelf into the space where the PS5 is sat, so I flattened these by cutting about a centimetre off. Hope this makes sense!

Dec 5, 2022 · Does anyone have a unit like this and can let me know what the the height of the top slots is? A PS5 on a horizontal stand is approximately 4.25" tall so needs to be at least that tall. Wish that IKEA would put these measurements up. If anyone can get me this info, would be much appreciated. Just trying to save a trip to IKEA.

Oct 20, 2020 · I have the taller Besta and just made 4 large holes in the back, no added fan, but it’s sauna-hot inside when playing PS5-game for 1hr with wooden door almost closed. Do you think adding two large holes to the left (where the PS5’s main heat source is - the bottom PSU-outtake) would suffice, or do I need some kind of fan.

May 23, 2023 · I cut the entire back out of the center column for air flow, tossed in the receiver and added the AC Infinity unit that sits on top and auto turns on the fans based on heat. I’ll be using a 43” tv and was thinking of placing the console on a IKEA Lack wall shelf that I would install under my tv. Has anyone tried placing the ps5 on a Lack wall shelf? Based on the dimensions, it seems that it would just barely fit.

Nov 20, 2020 · I just got the PS5 because of God of War Ragnarok and I have the same Ikea Brimnes but the shorter one. So there are only two open shelves. I place my PS5 on the left open shelf but closer to the left side where the hole for cables is as the PS5 exhausts to the back but downwards (if stood vertically) if I’m not mistaken.

Jul 30, 2023 · Here is my finished IKEA Besta unit with added ventilation for the PS5. To keep the enclosed cabinet ventilated I simply use two Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM 5V fans (bottom intake, side exhaust). They are controlled by an Noctua NA-FC1 controller. This allowed me to set the fans to a speed where they are completely inaudible.

Houses my PS5 & Switch with plenty of room for games and accessories in the drawers, but I keep the Switch dock on top for easy access; I use the center cubby for the PS5, the one on the left for Switch gear, and the one on the right for my network stuff. I could easily fit an Xbox in if I had one.

Apr 13, 2023 · What's great about this is you were able to create 4 perfectly-sized shelves for the DVD/BR cases along with the PS5 shelf. So by making one shelf extra large, you also managed to turn 4 shelves into 5.
