I currently have my 5000+ collection on 5 Billy Bookcases from Ikea , yes the Vinyl albums are bowing the shelves so have been moved to the bottom shelf and on reading this thread I have looked into the Kallax units BUT I only have enough 12" vinyl to fill 12 of the Kallax's 'holes'. My big problem is down to my O.C.D.,

I also modified some of the Billy shelves from Ikea to have even spacing for CDs and I use a similar technique for keeping the CDs flush. In this case, I found a ~5" molding from the hardware store and just loosely put it in the back and that keeps the CDs flat:
