Dec 17, 2024 · Sffgmss IFA wagons are now added to the Hornby ‘TT:120’ range thanks to a model previously released under the Arnold label. They are numbered for leasing company Touax and loaded with modern 45ft containers.

All RIV numbers have an extra check digit on the end, determined by a calculation based on the preceeding 11 digits. This has been excluded from the lists for obvious reasons. The exchange code (first two digits) were liable to change. An r after the number series indicates that numbers in this range were used, but not neccessarily all numbers.

Jul 11, 2018 · Think there's a bit of cross purposes going on - those are French IFA - the EWS purchased FKA he was referring to are the ones roughly similar to the AAE owned IKA (Megafret) lower deck wagons.

Dec 3, 2023 · Update: I found a product brochure from the company listed by Arnold in the description. According to "Ermewa" they are Europe's "first choice in railcar rental." I'll have to take their word for it! They list the "sffgmss" wagon under one of their wagons that is rentable. They note that "some of the wagons are compliant with the English gauge."

Jun 6, 2010 · Introduced in 1999 the IKA 'Megafret' wagons are a low platform intermodal flat capable of carrying containers up to 9' 6" on cleared routes. The load deck features multiple anchor points along it's maximum 45' load length meaning each wagon is capable of carrying 1 x 45' container, 1 x 40', 1 x 30' or 2 x 20' containers.
