IBM RS64 - Wikipedia
The IBM RS64 is a family of microprocessors introduced in the mid 1990s, and used in IBM's RS/6000 and AS/400 servers. These microprocessors implement the "Amazon", or "PowerPC-AS", instruction set architecture (ISA).
IBM’s Server Processors: The RS64 and the POWER - CPU Shack
Jan 24, 2011 · RS64 designs were focused mainly on transaction processing and other integer intensive applications. Their floating point performance was not as good as the POWER architecture. Debuting at 125MHz with 128kb of L1 cache, and 4MB of off chip L2 cache. By 2000 IBM had continually improved upon the RS64 architecture, as well as fab processes.
IBM RS/6000 - Wikipedia
The RISC System/6000 is a family of RISC -based (Reduced Instruction Set Computer-based) Unix servers, workstations and supercomputers made by IBM in the 1990s. The RS/6000 family replaced the IBM RT PC computer platform in February 1990 and is the first computer line to see the use of IBM's POWER and PowerPC based microprocessors.
RS64 - fact-index.com
The IBM RS64 family of processors is used in the RS/6000 and AS/400 server product lines. The family is optimized for commercial workloads (integer performance, large caches, branches) and does not feature the strong floating point performance of the IBM POWER family, its ancestor.
POWER4 - Wikipedia
The POWER4 is a microprocessor developed by International Business Machines (IBM) that implemented the 64-bit PowerPC and PowerPC AS instruction set architectures.
