After 3.5 years owning my i7 4790k i finally decided to overclock it from 4 to 4.5 GHz. Apr 20, 2020 · Tried what you did in the bios but nothing works too, really wished the 7700hq can be run at 3.9 overclocked 4 cores! Unless laptop chips are different from desktop, without the K identifier it won't accept a higher multiplier. The chip will just reject it and use the highest it is designed to use. You could try changing them and see what happens.
