Yes, the I4 is more nimble than the V6 model because it has a lighter engine and smaller turning radius (about 36.1 ft vs. the V6's 39.6 ft). I still feel the V6 Accord handles well for a family sedan, better than the Camry despite the Camry having a smaller turning radius (36.1 ft).

Apr 28, 2023 · The V6 has a linear acceleration feel, like a freight train. The 4, while did a fine job of getting up to speed, you know it’s working a lot harder. Passing: about the same. I prefer the V6, but that’s just me. I’ve had I6 and V6 cars before, and the extra two cylinders just adds to the linear acceleration feel.

The two models I was thinking between was either bronco badlands with hard top, high lux package and sasquatch v6 or bronco outer Banks and the same packages but with i4. The price is much cheaper on the outer banks but less kick compared to the V6.

The I4 tends to spend most its time in higher of the power band/lower gear trying to overcome steep grades, but the V6 tends to struggle to find gears but maintaining decent rpms. Both are very common rental cars, but i favored the V6 in city driving just getting up to speed, either will be sufficient for the trip.

Jul 11, 2019 · The I4 should handle/feel more engaging just because it weighs quite a bit less, but the V6 is considerably quicker/smoother/quieter regarding acceleration. Plus the V6 has a conventional 6-speed automatic vs the CVT so that should help a bit in the "sporty feel" category.

Sep 7, 2022 · At least in the current generation (XV70), the one thing you would immediately notice if you drove the two back to back is that the V6 cars are sound deadened a lot more. This was probably done out of necessity because the 2GR-FKS (V6) engine is rather noisy compared to the A25A-FKS (I4).

Jan 1, 2023 · That’s literally the only reason I’m considering the v6 so maybe I’ll do the 4-cyl if I can make it accelerate slightly faster. Also, I haven’t even test driven a 3rd gen 4-cyl. I’m just basing my opinion off the power my 2003 4-cyl puts out lol.

Feb 22, 2017 · V6. No replacement for displacement. It'll be a smoother ride, also. At the same bhp, fuel economy difference will be nothing. EDIT: saw it was an I4-T, fuel savings will be greater than the V6 but I really dislike some of the Turbo 4 torque curves in the cars I've driven (Audi 2.0T, Cadillac 2.0T, Ford 1.6T).
