I had this same problem. my car is a 2004 Hyundai XG350 L and I had around 80k miles at the time my car had these issues. My accelerator would seemingly stop working and become unresponsive, yet my car would still drive slowly. This is known as "limp" mode. The problem is that the charcoal in the fuel vapor canister breaks up and escapes into the supply hose, working its way to the Fill Vent Valve, which then blocks the vent closed.
