Breaking HuFu with 0 Leakage: A Side-Channel Analysis
Mar 25, 2025 · HuFu is an unstructured lattice-based signature scheme proposed during the NIST PQC standardization process. In this work, we present a side-channel analysis of HuFu's reference implementation.

HuFu is a digital signature scheme whose security is based on the hardness of standard worst-case prob-lems on generic lattices. Besides not using structured lattices, HuFu has a fairly diferent design com-pared to CRYSTALS-Dilithium [LDK+20] and Falcon [PFH+20].
Hufu
Jul 13, 2023 · Hufu is a lattice-based hash-and-sign signature algorithm summitted to NIST Additional Digital Signature Schemes for the Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardization Process on June 1, 2023. It has been designed by: Yang Yu, Huiwen Jia, Leibo Li, Delong Ran, Zhiyuan Qiu, Shiduo Zhang, Xiuhan Lin and Xiaoyun Wang.
Saarinen reported two security flaws of HuFu. By flipping some bits in HuFu signatures, an adversary can generate a new valid signature for the same message. An adversary can modify the length field in HuFu signatures to trigger bufer overflows. Two attacks exploits the fact that there can be multiple encodings for the same signature.
Hufu: A Modality-Agnositc Watermarking System for Pre-Trained ...
We propose Hufu, a modality-agnostic watermarking system for pre-trained Transformer-based models, relying on the permutation equivariance property of Transformers.

HuFu Signature - asecuritysite.com
A new proposed standard is HuFu (Hash-and-Sign Signatures From Powerful Gadgets) and which uses the hardness of standard worst-case problems on generic lattices. As with Falcon, it uses a hash-and-sign signature method with the GPV lattice trapdoor framework.
OpenHuFu: An Open-Sourced Data Federation System
OpenHuFu is an open-sourced system for efficient and secure query processing on a data federation. It provides flexibility for researchers to quickly implement their algorithms for processing federated queries with SMC techniques, such as secret sharing, garbled circuit and oblivious transfer.
