Dec 23, 2009 · There have been times, the blowers in my unit have ran non-stop for 5 - 6 hours, this includes me feeding the unit and the house staying around 72F. It depends on how big a fire you have, how old the house is, window etc multiple factors. A lot of people think if the blowers are always running, then the house is going to get ultra hot.

Oct 26, 2010 · We,ve had a Hot Blast 1500 running for 13 years now with no problems at all but I have BOTH 8" ducts running into the main duct trunk. You're probably losing a lot with choking the two ducts down to one and then running it through the cold air return on the gas furnace. The directions advise against that.

Dec 12, 2014 · Hot blast- bottom of uss line- yep about a 4hr useable heat cycle, gobbles wood like a 12" chipper, auto over fire damper-as I refer to it- yep baro on it no help except to make more creosote. That all said it did cut my heating cost by 40% for the one season I used it.

Jan 17, 2006 · Hot Blast Furnace I got my Hot Blast a year ago. My Fiance installed it and well now he left so I am trying to figure it out on my own. I keep getting smoke through the loading door vent after i fill and cut back the dampner. Am I doing something wrong? I just had the chimney sweeped. Please any help would be appreciated. It is a Hot Blast 1557 M.

I have a barel stopve kit I am going to build a stove with for ther cabin and give thre hot blast to some one who would use it in a work shop. Here at home I have a England 28 3500 add on furnace.

The problem I'm having is the fans kick on at around 150 degrees, I have a magnetic thermometer on the front. According to it, the sweet spot should be between 300 and 500.

Jan 21, 2008 · Hot Blast has a model 1950 EPA which is rated at 140,000 btu and is supposed to burn 40% less wood. From what I've read a stove with a secondary burn chamber is worth the money. My total cost of lining my chimney and purchasing the furnace and having it professionally installed (for insurance reasons) came to $3600.

Aug 28, 2013 · Typical outdoor wood blaster installation can run north of 7 grand. for that kind of coin Kuma or Caddy would be better choices, whole lot less consumption ( for the record I have a hot blast also, not a fan, eats more fuel than 3 teenagers eat in groceries) I would dump the hotblast( not worth trying to modify), would not go OWB.
