A good 01 MR2-S can be found for around 12K after TTL, whereas a decent 01 s2000 costs about 16K after TTL. Feb 2, 2011 · It does seem that the S2000 comes with a lot more bang for the buck than a Spyder with a 2ZZGE. From what I've read, the F20C can easily handle boost and the transmission is pretty stout.

May 31, 2008 · The Spyder is a bit more nimble but also more neutral. The rear end of the S2000 had a tendency to come out on you relatively easy but it was very predictable and controllable.

Jul 13, 2009 · A buddy of mine has a nice honda that he just recently boosted and is making somewhere around 380rwhp, the thing's a monster! I love S2000s and would consider buying one one day for the right price, but given my budget and power goals (250 rwhp) the MR2 was the clear winner to me.

Jun 18, 2005 · For a daily driver the S2000 will be better. For pure handling the MRS is better. I'd choose the S2000 because it handles almost as well, is a lot quicker, has a trunk, and, since I do my own wrenching, ease of maintanance.

Feb 28, 2008 · A modded 240hp spyder will have its share of issues, will suck as daily drive, and won't be as reliable as a stock Honda. The Honda also has LSD, a rollbar, better stock suspension, better seats, and a trunk.
