Mar 25, 2017 · Simply fit the bag ring over the tank ring & give the bag a 35 degree turn clockwise to lock it on. Taking it off is just the reverse. Once locked in place it doesn't move while riding, and the rings hold the bag off the surface of the tank cover so it won't scratch the paint.

Found a Spiderwire Sling Pack fishing bag at Dick's Sporting Goods on sale (now) for $24.99 ($10 off regular price of $34.99) that had everything I wanted. To make this work I cut off the sling strap and the two plastic buckles.
