Apr 23, 2013 · Having made about a dozen HK4 buffers out of all kinds of crazy materials there are two clear winners. 1) LDPE (low density polyethylene) Slightly squishier than its high density cousin (for example, Home Depot buckets are HDPE) it is plenty hard enough to take the abuse and really easy to cut and trim to the right size.

Aug 7, 2009 · I wanted my hk4 .22 to cycle the cheap stuff! Short answer - I polished the feed ramp on the chamber with fine emery paper and shortened the recoil spring in increments of about 1/4 inch until it cycled the federal and Remington ammo.
